| Why
Doesn’t Johnny Just Take the Bus?

Because Metro Rail does not serve their neighborhood,
Johnny and his dad do take the bus but are frustrated because:
• It is often overcrowded.
• It has to obey all traffic signals.
• It has to stop more frequently along its route.
• It gets stuck in traffic.
• Its fuel burning engine pollutes the environment.
• It takes more time to get from one side of town to the other.
Although buses are essential to any public transportation
system, Metro Rail, on the other hand:
• Can accommodate many more passengers, wheelchairs, bicycles,
strollers, etc.
• Does not have to stop at stop signs/lights, etc.
• Does not make stops anytime a single passenger needs to
exit.
• Does not get stuck in traffic.
• Runs on electricity.
• Can safely speed from one part of town to another.
