About
the Buckleweeds
The Buckleweeds lived in a city with
excellent public transportation, but wanted to move. Based on their
wish to continue a car-free lifestyle and the American Public Transportation
Association’s praise of Metro, the Buckleweeds chose Los Angeles
(the second most populated city in the United States).
A few weeks after relocating, Mrs. Jackie Buckleweed was waiting
for the train at a station when she was abducted and murdered. Had
the Metro rail arrived only five minutes earlier, Mrs. Buckleweed’s
life would have been saved. She was survived by her husband Earl
and 10 year old son, Johnny.
