| Johnny Hates Metro Rail Because It Is Petty.
There are literally more rules than there are rail lines! Among them: “No Eating!” Food can be dropped and stain. “No Drinking!” Drinks can be spilled and stain. “No Stereos!” Music can disturb other passengers. Perhaps Metro should post a “No Breathing” sign because riders with colds could get others sick. What does Metro have to show for all of these rules? Many sterile, spotlessly clean, but often totally deserted rail stations. One wonders if Metro spent the millions of dollars for Los Angeles to use these trains or for us to look at them. People need to get to work, school, and go about their busy lives using your trains, Metro. Giving them tickets for having a cup of coffee is not making it any easier to "Go Metro." In other cities, vendors sell food, beverage, and other sundries on the subway platforms. Your riders will be better served the sooner you stop playing toy train and start providing more accommodating service. |
