| Johnny Hates Metro Rail Because It Doesn’t Run WHEN Johnny Needs/Wants It To. • There is no 24 hour service! Red Line train service from Union Station stops at 12:17AM and doesn’t resume until 4:30AM. There is a period of about three hours when there are no Green Line trains running. The last Gold Line train from Union Station departs at 11:52PM! The Buckleweeds cannot explain how many times they have been abandoned by Metro Rail just because they weren’t on their way home by 10:00PM! • Some Metro Rail trains only run every 15 minutes between regular daytime hours. In Johnny’s old place of residence, if one were to miss a train, it was no big deal. Another train would be along shortly. If you miss a Metro train, you could be stuck on that platform for a while. Hope you don’t need to get anywhere on time! • Some of these rail lines are running through people's backyards! It's understandable that the train should travel at a safe speed through residential areas, but why are these trains running at street-level at all? Metro Rail could travel quickly if it ran underground (like the Red Line) or was elevated (like the Green Line). • The times on the schedule do not correspond to the times on the ticket vending machines which do not correspond to the time the train actually arrives/departs. • There are no timetables on the station platforms!
